This article will help you understand the installation of a household split system, the cost of such a service, and possibly teach you how to install it yourself, adhering to the basic principles and rules. In English, "split" has a "crack" translation, but such a translation does not quite fit the designation of a split air conditioner system , so it should be translated as "separation", since the equipment has two separate units:

• outdoor unit;
• indoor block.

Household air conditioning system consists of outdoor and indoor units, interconnected by electric wire and copper pipes. And to prevent heat loss, the pipes must be in thermal insulation. Heat exchangers are installed in the blocks, closed systems are completely sealed, they are filled with freon (refrigerant). The compressor, located in the outdoor unit, compresses freon, converting it to a liquid state. During this, the condenser (heat exchanger) heats up, releasing heat to the street. The fan installed in the outdoor unit provides effective cooling. The cold liquid is transferred through the pipe to the indoor unit (evaporator), where it is transferred from a liquid state to a gas. Such a conversion of freon from a liquid to a gaseous state is accompanied by strong cooling in the indoor unit. The air from the room is driven by the fan through the indoor unit, the heat exchanger is cooled and blown back. Due to this process, condensate is formed, which is drained outside with the help of plastic drainage. Installation of a split system must be carried out in the following sequence:

1. determine the location for installing the indoor unit;
2. install/replace the power grid;
3. installation of the outdoor unit;
4. make a hole in the wall for pipes;
5. lay a pipeline;
6. connection of electricity between the blocks;
7. check the tightness of the air conditioner;
8. evacuation of the system;
9. filling the system;
10. connect power;
11. test the split system (run);
12. isolate interblock harnesses;
