Air conditioning crankcase heater
The microclimate in our country is very diverse. We are lucky because every season is beautiful in its own way. It is very important to have a universal device that can maintain a given temperature throughout the year.
One of the most popular appliances can be considered air conditioning , as it works great for both cooling and heating. In winter, the air conditioner works on the principle of a heat pump, even at sub-zero temperatures outside, it is able to “pump” heat from the atmospheric air into the room.
However, at sub-zero air temperatures, the outdoor unit operates with increased voltage, and a winter set is used to help the air conditioner stabilize its operation. It prevents freezing as well as foaming of the oil. The entry of liquid freon into the compressor can also lead to equipment breakdown. To prevent this from happening, we recommend using a low-temperature kit for heating in winter. Also, the winter set is used for heating the crankcase of the air conditioner for server rooms, where the equipment works for cooling even in the cold season.
The winter set consists of:
- Heating of a crankcase of the compressor of the external block.
- Heating of a drainage of the pallet of the external block. Prevents freezing of condensate and icing of the outdoor unit, ensures the normal removal of condensate.
- Thermostat .
- Outdoor unit fan speed controller .
The crankcase heater makes it easier to start a cold compressor, as the oil in it heats up, which helps to avoid wear and the risk of failure. If the air conditioner is operated without the low temperature kit, the compressor may seize or be damaged.
The crankcase heater is a wire to which a voltage of about 60 watts is applied. It is easy to install and connect.
We recommend installing a low temperature kit so that your air conditioner works all year round and lasts for many years without breakdowns.
